My Grandpa J (my father’s father) passed away on Friday afternoon. It was rather sudden, but not unexpected because his health has been fading since my grandma died 3 years ago. My aunt called my dad to try to get to Utah quickly, and he got there Friday morning. All of Grandpa’s 8 children except for one aunt were there when he passed away at the hospital. That aunt got there a few hours later.
It’s sad to have lost all my grandpas. :( But he’s with Grandma now, and they had had very good lives, and had been married in the temple. All their children have been married in the temple too (Temple Marriage is very important to LDS people), so it’s really alright. I love you, Grandpa.
My family and I are headed to Utah for the funeral Thursday night and will be there till Sunday morning, but I’ll be in Ogden, and won’t have a chance to drive down to Provo to see any of you wonderful Provo friends, which is sad. :( I’ll be seeing lots of relatives, though. I have over 40 cousins on this side, you know. :) (I’ve about 30 cousins on my mom’s side too, wahhahhah.)
Beatrice from le comique. I was thinking of using it in a site design, but now I don’t think I will. *glares at it*
Oh well, it’s pretty! ^^ I’ve been picking at the coloring for like a month now, pulling it up for a bit and working on a bit, and then closing it again.
Watched “Hero” yesterday (I know, finally). Oh so gorgeous! o.o! Such an interesting story: a national myth for China, promoting solidarity. Very mythological, complete with superhuman feats and sacrifices.
I loved the soundtrack, so I just downloaded several of the tracks and am in some sort of emotional Zen listening to them. ^______^
I went to Shiokazecon here in Houston this last weekend. Somehow or another, my driver’s license fell out of my purse sometime this weekend, I assume while I was at the con. I didn’t notice it was missing until yesterday. Today it arrived anonymously in the mail, along with a blank card with a cute doggy on it.
Whoever sent my driver’s license back to me, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
Loves and hugs and blessings to you forever. Thank you so much.
