The first illustrations for the next Leading Edge Issue have come in. ^^
Kelly has done awesome on her’s for the story “Grey Sheep”. You can see some of her initial sketches in her lj. Snazzy. Yea for creepy virtual reality helmets and apathic masses!
And Daniel Hughes, who really really needs a web presence, has done some GAWRgeous stuff for “Summer of the Brides,” which is an awesome story. He’s an excellent illustration major here at the Y, and so amazingly dedicated–he’s gotten his friends to do a photo shoot with weaponry for illustrating the highly nifty werewolf story we are publishing.
And he gave me a signed copy of the “Summer” splash page. ^__^ It’s on my wall. wheehee!
Ursula Vernon’s Sir Bunny vs. the Wockwurm is going to be our cover.
So, all in all, y’all know you want to get our magazine, don’tcha. ;)
Elder David B. Haight died this morning. And Elder Neal A. Maxwell died last week. o.o!! Two apostles in less then two weeks!
I am really going to miss Elder Maxwell, he gave the most awesome talks–beautiful and eloquent, with the fantastically unique word choices. Elder Haight was cute and little and old (97y/o), so his death isn’t unexpected. ^^
Elder Maxwell died of cancer.
Looks like God is rearranging things. With two new members, there is going to be an entirely new dynamic in the Quorum of the Twelve.
O.O ooooo, I love this guy’s (Yethro) Potter art. Lot’s of Harry/Hermione, which I don’t really ship, but dang, these are lovely and sweet.
Sneak preview for the finale of “Glass Tower,” my Spirited Away fic.
The illustration for the final chapter. Spoilerish, but it won’t kill you. :]
I tried to match the colors to the earlier Kohaku illo, so…unusual color scheme.
I’ve been painting with green too often lately.
The final chapter is in my head and soon to get out, I had to get the pic done first. :)

Just heard— the final STAR WARS movie shall be entitled: The Revenge of the Sith.
Works for me! Indeed, much better than “Attack of the Clones.” >.<
I’m hoping this will be an angstily glorious movie. Bring on the angst!
“You’ve got a very good friend somewhere, Potter….”
Harry’s jaw dropped. She was holding out his Firebolt, and it looked as magnificent as ever.
“I can have it back?” Harry said weakly. “Seriously?”
“Seriously,” said Professor McGonagall. ”
–Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Ch. 12, JKRowling
WahHA, lovely little pun that you’ll only notice if you are listening to the cd version. ^^ A very good friend, indeed.
JKRowling has updated her FAQ section, and it is conclusive that Tom Riddle is not the Half-Blood Prince. She also says that book2 and 6 are related because ” a discovery Harry made in ‘Chamber’ … foreshadows something that he finds out in ‘Prince’.”
I hereby state that my new position on who the Half Blood Prince is is that it is Godric Gryffindor.
Unless it’s Salazar Slytherin. Ah well, I eagerly await the book that will make everything conclusive. :)
Rowling is pregant with her 3rd child!! That’s awesome. Congratulations, Mrs. Jo! ^_^
Whoohoo, creepy art, yea!

Tom and Ginny, leaving the Chamber of Secrets. I imagine she would ride the basilisk back up to the main level of Hogwarts after going down to get it.
I used Nocturna’s brushes (she’s taken the site down now), and was staring at this nifty gal’s art (Snuck) when I colored this. *heart stop* Her graphic textural abilities. Just so… cool. dang.

You know my sketchbook? The new, hardcover, nice one I had gotten? Yeah, the back cover has already ripped off. I’m not even half way through it. *grr* BUT! I am a crafty arteest lady. mwah. I glued and re-covered it yesterday with some deep red-purple ribbed watered satin I had around. Now is it not only in one piece, it is prettier than ever. ^_^
I need to go get some nifty paper to cover the inside cover stuff. Whatever the technical term for that is.
I’ve been tinkering with this for months, but I finally got the php revamp of the comic up.
It’s bare bones, and I haven’t done the comic pages yet. Isn’t there some simple php way to do a ‘next page/one number up’ kinda thang? So I don’t have to mess with each page? Ahwell, I’ll keep working with it.
I scanned and made icons! At least icon bases. These are from Laurel Long’s “The Lady and the Lion,” which is absolutely gorgeous. Burne-Jones and Waterhouse influenced faces. 0.0 Sooo pretty.
