This one requires an explaination. I was trying to emulate the style of Yoshitaka Amano’s mindbogglingly gorgeous work.
And it…really didn’t work. I shouldn’t have used green in it. But OH WELL! It’s definitely an interesting art piece. XP I will be trying again in some other pieces, because mysteriously swirly figures, textiles, and patterns are just really really cool and I like them.
It’s quill pen, watercolor, and attempts at ps color adjusting.
I finished all my shopping yesterday! Wheehee! I hope at least one of my online orders arrives today…heheh.

Whoo. So, this is about the first time I’ve tried to do an art piece in an entirely painterly style. It’s not perfect, his face is still driving me nuts, but for a first try, I’m going with it.
I want to master the realistic painterly style, it’s one of my major artistic goals. *is determined*
I stared at pieces by loish, heise, and furiae, and some photos I have on my harddrive, but I didn’t use any direct reference. All photoshop.
Used peachystick’s brushes, they’re teh awesome.

This is another of those fun loose-perspective and coloring experiments, and it joyfully uses a texture by Vladm.
I’ve never used a texture this way before, or really messed with masking, so I learned much, which is good.
